I don't understand how someone can be against stem cell research. I realize this may controversial to some but i believe most oppose it due to ignorant stereotypes. Simply 5 mins of education on the issue can change ones opinion. I feel some people get the mental image of a baby in the womb being poked and prodded to death for stem cells when this simply is not the case. Discuss...

Tell someone to draw a blastocyst to scale. LOL OMG you are so inconsiderate!!! It lives ! I think we should start a campaign to preserve all our cells starting with scratching rules. No one should be allowed to scratch..... or bath. That would be killing cells. They are living breathing organisms just like us!

Hey, thought I'd come by and say hi. Stem cells can be obtained from umbillical cords. Just curious-- I thought this forum was about Gravel, not Paul?

Any way of undermining any other candidate is supportive on Mike Gravel. Plus this is an issues board. Speak of any issues you want. Compare and contrast views. This is the only way to get the truth out.

You are wrong, alienating potential allies gets us nowhere. Save your venom for Hillary. Dave, you were in Philly-- how many Ron Paul supporters were there to help? We got donations from Ron Paul supporters, they emailed nbc, and they showed up when we needed them to. The gloves are off, TP. I'm mad because childish crap like this makes us all look immature.

I might have been a little harsh there but I don't think so. Gravel is now excluded from the CNN debate and we are going to need all the help we can get from anyone willing to give it. Even Ron Paul supporters.

Even Ron Paul supporters. I agree. Our party is our worst enemy but i don't paticuraly care for all the Mike Gravel supporters who went over to Ron Paul. These wishy washy agnostics don't know who they support.

This may be wrong of me to say, but I'll say it, regardless. Ron Paul is great, actually, and I would be pretty happy if he became president - I really mean it. If I had to choose between Paul or Gravel, I would definitely choose Gravel. Both individuals will make for a great president.
Look at the republican candidates and tell me, with a straight face, that you aren't deathly afraid of the possibility that any of these people could actually be our future president, excluding Paul.
I personally feel that support should be given to both Gravel and Paul. Both of which will be great presidents, and would really change this country around for the better.
Dawn is thinking clearly about this, and we should listen to him. Ron Paul should be looked at as an ally, not an enemy.
I know who I want to support.

You are not afraid of polarization of economic classes? You are not afraid of states going bankrupts because people are moving out of them? What about not having federal funding for police and fire departments? You are not afraid of having public education privatized. Public education is the foundation of democracy. I think you should examine the issues more closely.

I'd agree that Gravel is about a million times better than Paul but Paul is about a million times better than the rest of them (excluding Kucinich)
but Paul supporters like Gravel pretty much equal to Paul.
The only reason they support Paul more, is because they see him as a more viable candidate to win. Like I said in my Warrior post, we need to reach out to Paul's supporters, not to Paul and get their help.
Because guess what most of them are willing to give it.

All of his states rights arguments are based on John C. Calhouns philosophies which are illogical. The purpose of outting Paul is to win back supporters. If you support Ron Paul and Mike Gravel then i suspect it would be for only 2 issues and that would be ending both the war on drugs and Iraq. These issues are tempting but should not be the main points of focus. If Americans find economy being the most important issue then one should examine their views on the economy.

Hey, Thomas.
I appreciate your efforts to help Gravel by pointing out the differences between him and Paul. I see what you are trying to do and I know that your intentions are in the right place. Your tactics, however, will only cause a rift where there needs to be none. Gravel supporters and Paul supporters would accomplish so much more if united and not wasting time harping on each other. So quit your anti-Paul crap and get to work doing something useful. Today I will be posting on Paul's forums to ask them for help and most of them will be thinking of all the times Gravel supporters were uncool. What a shame. NEVER FORGET THAT YOU REPRESENT MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They may look simmilar but dig down deep and you will see they are complete opposites.

In an ideal setting, we'd have Mike and Ron talk to the American people about the issues. And, it might still come to pass. But first, we need to help get Mike some organization so that he can point to successes in leap-frogging over the politics as usual crowd that is running under the democrat banner. This means really working on educating the disaffected dems and the independents that Mike is the best option for genuine change. If, along the way, we get some republicans who want to support Gravel -- well that's fine. But the first order of business is to raise his standing so that the power elite that has tried to censor him finds out that there are tens of thousands who are ready to get on the Gravel Train. All aboard!
