Post in this thread to become a Gravel Warrior. This allows you access to a hidden forum where we will plan out different moves for Gravel's campaign and Gravel's army's/ volunteers moves, both online and off.
You just have to tell us just a little about yourself -
-Which state you live in (if you're overseas just put your country)
-If you want to list any personal skills we can use to add to the unofficial campaign by all means do... (Things such as youtube skills, website design skills... etc. )
-Why you support Gravel for President
-And What you've done to date to support Gravel (It's ok if you've just told your friends and family about him, we'll help you do more!)
Then we'll make you a warrior and we will start organizing the Gravel troops for action in unofficial campaigning everywhere. Gravel will win if we actively campaign for him. So become a Warrior today!

Alright I'll get this started so all the shy people can post
I live in MD.
For personal skills I'll put leadership and mad promoting skills.
I support Gravel because I want this war to end now and we need the NI4D to stop congress' corrupt power scheme. And all of his other stances are great too.
I started this site, did regular promotion of Gravel to friends and family. And I traveled up to Philly to protest and support Gravel on the most recent democratic debate.

I live in Upstate New York.
For personal skills... I'm a high schooler. Not a skill per se, but I have access to "the kids." I'm also an amateur magician... at the moment, I am creating a Gravel-related routine which I hope to film. Making such a routine takes time, though, so it won't be done too soon. I also, usually, have enough free time to go online and promote.
I support Gravel because he tells it like it is-- no BS or smiling for the cameras. Most of my personal stances are in line with him, too. I view him as a LEADER, and I think that he is the ONLY one qualified to really be president.
Thus far, I have really only spread the word to ALL of my friends... I've posted on digg and the HuffPost often, too.
Thanks.

Hi! I'm Dawn, living in the San Francisco Bay Area. I met Gravel at the SF LGBT Pride parade back in June. I had heard about him on my local news the night before when they said that he would be the first Presidential candidate to ever march with us. Why do I support Gravel? Many reasons, here are a few. Most politicians would consider marching in a Pride parade to be political suicide. Not Gravel. He is committed to equal rights for ALL Americans. I asked him that day why he went to such lengths to participate (he and his staff were given a California Highway Patrol escort complete with sirens and flashing lights, after travelling all night to be there) and this is exactly what he said to me "No-one should be treated like a second-class citizen. Well, you know how that feels, you're an Indian." Which brings me to my other reasons. As a Native American who is acutely aware of being ignored by representative government how could I not support the National Initiative? I am tired of begging Senators and Congresspeople to pay attention and do the right thing. Tired of Big Business poisoning us and getting away with it. So very tired of feeling powerless. The NI4D gives me hope. At Prez on the Rez Gravel got a standing ovation for his promise to free Leonard Peltier. But what meant the most to me and a lot of my people was that he talked about 12-yr term limits for Federal Judges. We've all been hurt by loss after loss in Federal court cases. Though we keep fighting we know that these judges appointed for life are not on our side, nor will they ever be. I went to Prez on the Rez as a Gravel supporter and was proud to be wearing a shirt with his name on it. Democratic Faith, anyone? I have lots of other reasons for supporting Gravel. My nephew is fighting with the Army in Iraq. I worry more and more with each email I get from him. Have you ever heard nervous laughter in an email? I have. 17 LOLs in a single short paragraph. I want this war to end. Now. Gravel is the only candidate with the experience and courage to make it happen. I've rambled on enough about why I support Gravel. I could say more but it would take too long. What are my skills? I used to work for The Sierra Club as a fundraiser. I'm good at networking. I've affiliated myself with activist groups in the Bay Area. My work for Gravel is best done in the outside world as opposed to on the internet but I can write pretty well when I put my mind to it. What have I done so far? I have handed out fliers and spread the word about Gravel in the Castro District before the LOGO forum. Did the same at events like Beach Impeach 3 and 4, Code Pink protests, The Oct. 27th rally, and Grandparents for Peace protests every Friday. I attended the Million Dollar Non-Partisan Voter Registration Fund Party on Nov. 4th to make sure that the Keynote speaker, CA Secretary of State Debra Bowen, knew that Gravel has support in Cali. I have also handed out fliers in my home state of Maine and briefly in NYC. I also do my best to contribute to the forum at Gravel2008.us. Like it or not, it's his official website and that is where people go to get info about him. If they hear Gravel say "visit my website" and then show up to find us strangely absent, what are they to think? Newcomers need to be welcomed or they won't stay long. Well, I geuss that's enough for now. Gravel for Prez!

I'm from New England and have been supporting Mike Gravel since he announced for POTUS. Got the bumpah stickahs on the cahs and can't wait to see some others out on the highways -- particularly in New Hampshire. Please check out and promote www.nh4gravel.us as Gravel needs to do well in the Granite state -- where he should ROCK! Anti-war; independent thinkers and people who aren't afraid to speak up! Gee -- based on that Mike should do very well there -- and he can -- if the people find out that there is a real candidate dedicated to fundamental change! Thanks for the great work. Now let's go forth and multiply!

I am from the state of Georgia.
I really have no special skills when it comes to computer programming or that type of thing (I'm in highschool, haven't learned about it yet), but I have some free time and some writing ability.
I support Mike Gravel for President because of the National Initiative for Democracy; because he doesn't takes masses of money from special interests; because he's very honest, intelligent, and unafraid to speak truth to the powers that be; because he has done so many things for our country already; and because I agree with his views on pretty much all of the issues. And, I have to say, for me he meets the criteria of a leader: John Quincy Adams once said, "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader."
To support Mike Gravel for President, I've told my friends and family about him, encouraged them to donate to Gravel, and donated to his campaign myself, but I should be doing more.

I live in Oklahoma at the moment... not by choice =p
- I have computer programming skills (C++, Access, VB).. not much else unfortunately. As weird as this sounds, I'm extremely good at video games... I mainly play a mod for Half-Life 2 as "Mike Gravel for President!" and I'm ranked #1 out of hundreds on many servers out there. I like to think it helps.. at the least, it gets Mike's name out there. Lame, I know =p
- The question is, why DON'T I support Gravel? All of his views correspond with my own. His stances on everything from the Iraq war to pro-choice to ending the drug war to fixing our trade deficit and our foreign policy... and most of all, the National Initiative and direct democracy... they all ring true for me. He is the greatest person to run for President in decades.
- To support Gravel, I've participated on Youtube (mostly pro-commenting, although I've done one short Gravel video and I'd like to make more). I have his bumper stickers and placards all over my car and house. I advertise him in several forums on the Internet, as well as having Gravel-related signatures and avatars. I've donated three times to him, modestly, but the most I could reasonably afford. My wife and I have launched Gravel campaigns on Myspace, advertising him everywhere we can. I write blogs when I have the time. I belong to several other communities and have worked with other Gravel supporters. My wife has done just as much as me; she sends mass e-mails regarding Gravel on a daily basis.
Despite all this, I have not done nearly enough. And it frustrates me.
This board will allow us to combine our efforts and make Gravel win the Presidency. Complacency is our biggest obstacle. I'm here to work.

Hi All, I am here with the hubby (Paraswarm) in Oklahoma. Unfortunately this is a pretty red state, but we are doing everything we can to promote Sen. Gravel. Skills-wise... well, I like to think I am a very good writer and researcher. Did the Intel Analyst thing for almost 8 years and have been taking college classes full time for about 6 years now. Leading into supporting Gravel, I have sent out emails to friends and family- some of them have bitten and I've gotten to talk in a lot more detail with them about Mike. After NBC's infamous announcement I sent multiple emails to all the leadership at NBC, Drexel, and the DNC. I promote Gravel on my Myspace page, post bulletins daily, and seem to be the only participant on the Myspace Gravel Groups - although I did double the membership of one of them by inviting all my friends to it. I post in other groups about Mike, also. Like Paraswarm mentioned, we bought a "We Like Mike" Gravel Gear package and have contributed two additional times. We are going to hand out the buttons and bumperstickers and try to stir up more interest. Oh, and of course we have both signed the petition for the National Initiative. Why do I like Mike? How could I not?!? There has NEVER been a Presidential candidate with whom I have agreed on every single issue- not even close. I have never heard Gravel say something I didn't like. I especially find his foreign policy and views on the UN extremely enlightened and refreshing. He is an honest man of immense integrity- he is a REAL leader who is not running for personal gain or profit, but for the benefit of us. America needs him as President. We need change, we need to get back on the right track, we need to lose the corporate media/military-industrial complex noose that is strangling the good out of this nation. Mike Gravel is the only one who has the insight to realize this and the will to actually follow through. I have never really had a hero before, but Mike Gravel is my hero and an inspiring role model for everyone. Let's do this! Let the Gravelution begin!

I'm located in eastern PA, although I'll be moving up to NH early next week. I will be working for the official campaign, traveling around to the state to different colleges and towns to drum up support and awareness.
But I'll definitely have the ability to keep in touch with supporters and help come up with strategies. My strengths are in my creativity and ability to communicate effectively on a wide scale of issues. I'm big on the interconnectedness of issues (like Kucinich would say) and have a strong grasp of how to explain them to people.
I've got lots of YouTube video ideas that people may want to work on, and other tactics that others could use (hopefully I'll get to use some in NH).
Originally I was for Kucinich, but when I read more about Gravel, I realized that he towers over even Dennis. The fair tax, ending the drug war, his moral courage trumps every other candidate. The National Initiative is incredible, and we need to familiarize people with what it really means. People still find it obtuse or intimidating. But the greatest thing I support Gravel for is his outright condemnation and understanding of the Military-Industrial-Complex. As he has said, it not only controls our economy, but our culture, too. And by empowering the people, I think this is one of the few ways that corporate corruption of our world can be dealt with and controlled.
So that's it for now, but I am ready to throw myself into Gravel's candidacy. No other candidate is a true leader like has proven.
